Pet Policy
Your dog is welcome at our hotel!
However, please remember a few rules to follow for an enjoyable stay.
Small and medium-sized dogs up to 15 kg are allowed (guide dogs and therapy animals are excluded from this limit, as long as they are accompanied by medical certification proving therapeutic necessity).
At check-in, we ask that you show us your dog's health booklet (or passport for international guests). Only animals that are up to date with legally required vaccinations are allowed.
To ensure your pet's well-being, we encourage you to bring their bed or carrier with you.
In common areas, your dog must always be kept on a leash.
For the safety and comfort of your four-legged friend, the housekeeper will not clean the room if your dog is left alone. You can arrange a convenient time for cleaning with the housekeeping supervisor.
We kindly ask that you don’t leave your dog unattended in the room for an extended period. If needed, you can use our dog-sitting service, managed by ENCI-certified dog trainers.
Please do not let your dog climb onto beds, armchairs, chairs, tables, etc.
- We remind you that pet owners accept full responsibility for any damages that may be caused by their animals.
- If you're visiting the city, some monuments do not allow dogs inside. You can request to be accompanied by one of our ENCI-certified dog trainers, who will keep your pet company while you visit museums or other points of interest.
- In case of need, we can contact a partnered veterinary clinic that operates 24/7.
Finally, here are some tips from our expert trainers (Family Dog – link) to help your pup enjoy a delightful "vacation" at our facility:
- Bring a blanket, toy, or another item your dog is familiar with from home. This helps a lot during travel to reduce stress and will comfort them. At the hotel, it becomes a safe spot where they can retreat, knowing nothing bad can happen there.
- We recommend bringing a chew toy or a Kong from home. It will help your dog relieve stress or anxiety, especially if they are left alone in the room.
- Remember to bring your dog’s food, calculating at least two extra meals just in case… you never know!

The facility has relied on the expertise of FAMILY DOG to create the Helios Hotel offering dedicated to our four-legged friends (PET FRIENDLY PACKAGE).
FAMILY DOG is a team of ENCI-certified dog trainers (Ente Nazionale Cinofilia Italiana) founded by Paola Castellano, an expert in communication and cognitive zoo-anthropological approaches.
The idea is to assess the dog in its uniqueness, taking into account not only the breed's typical motivations but also the dog's individual emotions.
The cognitive approach is a way of understanding dog behavior inspired by the latest theories in behavioral sciences.
FAMILY DOG's goal is to improve the relationship and communication with your dog, fostering the best possible coexistence in daily life. This is achieved by providing the dog with positive experiences through enjoyable and rewarding activities: play, learning, and basic exercises presented as cognitive challenges. In this way, the dog can acquire useful skills for everyday life and social coexistence.
“Learning to listen to the animal, meeting its needs, and also enjoying the pleasure of the relationship together” — with this phrase, Paola convinced us to collaborate and expand our hospitality to include our four-legged friends!

The PET FRIENDLY package includes:
- Welcome kit with wipes and hygiene bags
- Doggy Station with bowl set up in the room
- Tavolo riservato (se possibile) al ristorante (Tavola Periodica Bistrot)
- Contact a local veterinarian available 24 hours a day

Conditions of Stay
- Helios Hotel charges an additional fee of €20.00 per night for the presence of a pet.
- Upon request, only small and medium-sized dogs (up to 15 kg) that are up to date with mandatory vaccinations are allowed
- Upon departure the rooms will be cleaned with special sanitizing treatments
- Out of respect for other guests and for common hygiene rules, owners must guarantee compliance with the rules set out in the Pet Policy Pet Policy
